‘Tis the Season to Give Back

If you’ve ever heard the phrase “There but for the grace of God go I”, you know your life could have been very different. One of my missions with I.C.O.E. Bracelets is giving back to the community. We offer fund raising programs for schools and organizations, donate for fund raising events and try to help out.

Emergency Contact Bracelets on the Wrists of HomelessSo back to the “there but for the grace of God” phrase. This month, I will be working with a local homeless men’s shelter to put our emergency contact bracelets on the wrists of many homeless. While I’ve never been homeless, I’ve contributed a great amount of my time helping and feeding them so I’m sensitive to their plight. So many were just like you and I, plugging along until a medical bill or injury cut into their pocketbook so badly they couldn’t make their rent or mortgage.

Help out EMTs and ERs with Lifesaving infoMany of the chronically homeless do suffer mental illness so the beauty of our bracelets is to put their emergency contact numbers on their wrists. When you include medical or prescription information, you give EMT’s and the emergency room a much better chance of helping you – perhaps saving your life.

This doesn’t just apply to the homeless but to all your loved ones – children, spouse, parents, grandparents, friends, etc. If someone lives alone, they should wear a bracelet. The beauty of being a small business owner is you can make your own decisions. I’ve seen the peace of mind our I.C.O.E. Bracelets provide. If I could share that with everyone I would. In the meantime, this business gives me the opportunity to give back to one of our favorite causes.

Until Next Time!
